Calf pain, blood clot fear
« on: April 16, 2014, 08:05:31 AM »
Hi. Long time no see, been a little better with health worries lately, but...

This morning woke up with this odd pain in my left calf. Its better while laying down. Hurts when I walk or sit. It feels like some kind of nerve pain, its not nonstop pain. More stinging pain. Calf is not swollen i think. Should I go to ER or something?  :(

Sounds muscular related. I would give it some time. If it was swollen, then I would call the doctor.

This same thing happening again, its been 3 days. Short (1-2 seconds) pain, kinda like electric shock or something. Happens every once in a while So scared about blood clot :( been googling like nuts, and find nothing but every little damn pain in calf automatically is the damn clot. Theres no swelling. My back hurts too.

Theres always something to worry about, always. I cant take this anymore!

And the pain is more front of shin, outer side under the knee, sometimes it feels more in calf though. And last night woke up with numb foot, definitely related would guess. Been doing some stretching today, and both legs feel weird now too.

I've been having calf pain since December...it can be muscular or even muscle tension from anxiety. If it was swollen, red and extremely painful, you would know!

The internet is horrible for calf pain...everyone says it's a blood clot, when the chances are very slim.

Thanks! Yeah this one seems to be the most rude google one ever. whenever you feel anything in your calf-> ER. You are dying, no other option. This one is the winner of all the hundreds of diseases ive googled, easily the winner. There should be hundreds of people waiting in a line to ER every day lol. But seriously, thought i've googled it all, this one......winner.

Damn, I have to be home alone for 2 days with this calf pain. Now that my wife is not reassuring me....guess I have to keep writing here....scared.

It's still hurting, not better or worse. No swelling, no hot skin. So it is like 4 days now, would it gone worse already? I talked with a relative who is physiotherapist ( or whatever in english), and she thought it comes from my back. she has had a blood clot and said it was not much painfull, but it felt all the time, not just random electric shock pain.
