leukemia?
« on: April 08, 2014, 06:59:27 PM »
This has been making me really concerned now that the fact that I have disregarded this for such a long time. I recently read that a symptom of leukemia is having red spots of your body. My gums were bleeding the last time i went to the dentist, but that was because i dont brush my teeth as well or frequently. Well that sent me into a near panic attack because I have tiny reddish spots spread out ALL over my legs. Can someone please give me some hope on what this might be? Please this is really making upset and anxious

Hard to say without a pic.  But your gums bleeding means little to nothing other than you need to brush your teeth better.

Are you extremely fatigued? I'm pretty sure when you have leukaemia doing normal daily things can make you very tired.

The only reason why i would be fatigued is because i have to stay til 12 every night to do school work and to study and then wake up a six oclock the following day. Im relatively energetic most of the time and in a good mood during the day. Furthermore, you can some of the dots are covered sort of due to my dry leg skin and they seem to be less than or are 1mm in length. They are relatively spread out throughout my legs and they look pretty mild, compared to the ones on google images. But there are still quite a few of them. I also have one swollen but i think its shrinking lymph node at the back of my head, and just barely above my neck. It is also perpendicular to my ear. I think this might be cause by acne that i had in that general area recently.   I just noticed that i have one in my arm now. Do you guys think this could be caused by dry skin?

Hard to tell from those pics, but I don't see what I am looking for (which I won't describe as that will send 100 people checking out their skin).  The two red  spots are not what I am looking for...little bumps...small follicular lesions, red escoriations are not what a doc looks for when checking the skin for signs of leukemia.  Why don't you get some blood work and put it to rest?

Looking in your picture... Doesn't seem look like a leukemia. Not even a bit...

Did you know that stress and anxiety can cause reddish small spots, increase in skin allergies and rashes. Yep it's true! And also small reddish spots are pretty common on fair people.

You do not have a leukemia! You are fine.
