Dizzy feeling again but after only a beer
« on: April 07, 2014, 06:27:42 PM »
I used to be able to drink a lot .... When my dizzy spells started the day after drinking ALOT and were amplified for three weeks from the prozac I assumed it was from the alcohol. It's been gone for 5 days. I just had one beer. And the panic / off balance feeling kicked in. And 20 min later it is gone. What is wrong with me ?

I've had this happen too. It's probably because we are hyper aware of what could happen, so you wait for it to happen, causing a panic attack/dizziness! I think you are ok!

Its very pathetic because im not anxious when im drinking the beer. Im enjoying it. Hate it. Its not every single time. I just dont know.

I also was watching a movie before, laying on my stomach, with my neck up and watching the tv for a good hour before I moved. And when I did, I walked to my bedroom and felt off balance dizzy strange feeling for my eye sight, was it the position I was laying in, was I staring at the TV to long? Anyone get that?

There is no concern here... Period. You're anxious and I'll leave it at that. Might not be the detailed answer you were hoping for, but there's no need for one. No concerns here. Alcohol and dizziness? Not exactly abnormal.

The neck thing...definitely! I get that alot! I'm not a neurologist, but I believe I learned the trigeminal nerves in our neck are linked to migraine activity, plus that neck tension aggravates those nerves and the sternocleidomastoid which is located near the vestibular area (I THINK). So no, tumors and MS wouldnt do any of this.
