Could I do these things with tumor???
« on: April 07, 2014, 03:56:17 PM »
I tried taking nap but could not sleep. I am so tired of feeling off balance when I walk. It shoots up my anxiety so bad and I see ent this week and scared I'm go bs fall or pass out trying to walk and then I go into almost panic. I'm scared I have tumor in my cerebellum. Which is the part of the brain that controls cordination.

My regular dr did a Nuero exam on me twice. Had me do face expressions, held my arms and legs to test my strength and had me stand with my feet together with arms out and with eyes closed and said my balance was fine.

I had my mom do more things with me like touching finger to finger, finger to nose and test my strength and she said i was strong as an ox.

I get up to walk and I feel off balance on the inside but outside I look Normal. I even walked like I had a staggering gait and ataxia which is all crooked then walked normally. I did karate kicks and did them like I was fine. But yet I feel off balance when I walk.

If I can do all those things, what are my chances of cancer in my brain?

Ent said sinus infection and allergies. Meds made my balance feel normal. My ct scan was of sinuses and top of head.  Head was clear.  But get afraid tumor was missed. My balance is better. But today felt like floor was kind of moving under left foot only. And feel like I don't have a right side of face. I hate this crap. On my period don't help!

Honestly, I would be expecting you to have more symptoms, and certainly more debilitating ones, if you had cancer in the brain. What you are describing sounds very much like what I experience when my sinuses flair up. I feel like I'm really struggling to keep my balance, yet I seem to have no physical difficulty in doing so. I can walk five miles, navigate the stairs, walk in a straight line with no difficulty. It just feels like everything is moving, and that I'm going to fall. That causes anxiety of course, which then makes everything ten times worse.
