 :( Question is......Do I want to do anything about it?.........

Of course I do.....Sometimes I do it....but not consistently....

I sometimes get to bed at a decent hour (9 or 10pm), but I would wake up at 2, 3am and cant get back to sleep till its time to get up for work at 5am....

Sigh.....

Thats when things get ugly.....soon as I get to work Im soooo sleepy and dozing off all day......

Sounds familiar. Also go in early and often will wake up in a few hours. Sometimes I'll take a very small amount of red wine, has a calming effect and, with patience, drift off to sleep again.

The key, I believe, is to accept the interruption, not fight it, be content to rest with pleasant thoughts and know sleep will return as it inevitably does. In fact, sometimes I like that time knowing I am warm, comfortable and can still drift off.
