Feeling weightless
« on: April 06, 2014, 05:53:11 PM »
Lately I've been explaining how my body has been feeling weightless, it started when I weaned off of paxil which I've been off for a month or two. I do have depersonalization but does anyone know if this could be like an adrenal gland dysfunction or something? I was told by my neurologist that I have nothing wrong neurologically. The reason I ask is because it seems like if I breath heavy or like do push ups the weightless body feeling seems to go away. I've asked my actual doctor about it and she said it's very rare and it sounds psychosomatic to her. Could it be like a blood flow issue maybe? It's so hard to explain it's like my body is just vacant.

It sounds psychosomatic to me as well. Probably a weird sensation that you got while weaning off of the Paxil that gave you anxiety, so you've attached to. If you've spoken to a neurologist and your GP about it already, and they say it's fine, it's fine. Anxiety is likely the culprit.

I did go from drinking 3 extra strength 5 hours a day for a year to now not being able to tolerate caffeine. I just don't get why anything adrenal isn't ever like brought up.
