I've been on Lexapro, Cymbalta and Celexa and I'm on Zoloft now. I think any SSRI has the ability to help with HA. These meds have been a lifesaver for me! Wellbutrin was awful. It increased my anxiety too.

My anxiety is out of control at the moment, but in the past I've had success with Effexor because it addresses the OCD aspect of the health anxiety. The reason I stopped taking it was because if I missed a dose I got debilitating migraines . But that was just my personal reaction. I think one key element to our HA that sets it apart from other mental health issues is the obsessively checking and searching and not being able to stop ourselves.

Lexapro did wonders for me. I took 10 mg and had no side effects.

Celexa for me.  I tried Paxil and it was horrible, my anxiety was off the charts.  It's a matter of finding the right one for you.

My life is worth living with Celexa.

Abilify shut down down my panic attack within three days. I'm in process of working out my anti depressant. Wellbutrin was the worse. Zoloft helped but made me sleepy. Viibryd did this weird thing with my pupil and it counter indicated everything. I'm trying brintellix now.

Antidepressants don't seem to help much with my anxiety, but Klonopin usually helps a fair bit at least to keep anxiety under control.
