Sweating, sweating, sweating...HELP!!
« on: May 08, 2008, 12:31:58 PM »
I know that I recently posted about this and I have posted before, but this is just bugging the sh*t out of me! I have had every test that can be done minus a bone marrow biopsy, and everything has come back fine! I have had thyroid checked, hormones checked, I have tried monitoring if it's my GERD, or the temperature. I do not have a fever, I have lost weight but that is doe to falling in love and changing my eating habits. It comes and goes. I could have nothing for a month and then BOOM, for a straight week I am waking up sweaty every like two hours!! WTF!!! I can't take this anymore!! I don't think it has to do with periods...the first time it started was back in Dec. of 2005 during a Christmas vacation with my previous boyfriend. I got pregnant during that vacation, but didn't find out until the beginning of Feb. When I found out I was about 7-8 weeks prego. It did not go to full term and in Feb. it was done. I don't know if the sweating started while pregnant and then after loosing the pregnancy I just got all screwed up, or what?! I guess if I think back it is sort of getting less and less frequent, but of course my fear is that it is some latent cancer that isn't showing up on test and it will just eventually pop up. I have been exposed to Epstein Barr virus so I'm afraid of Burkett's Lymphoma, and I have heard of some people's lymphoma's being hard to find. I had a lymph/leukemia test where they check for markers and that came back great! So, what the hell. It's almost like my entire body temperature has changed. I used to always have cold hands and feet, and now they are always warm. I know that your body can change, but really this much? and with such adverse effects?

It could still be hormonal from the pregnancy, the body does weird things after an abortion. It can take a couple of months to adjust.

The abortion was done that Feb. so it has been at least a year and a half. Oddly enoug though, the next few periods after that, my boobs would swell like I was still pregnant. I hope it has something to do with the pregnancy, but it just seems unlikely to last this long.

Oh I am sorry I thought February  of this year. Hhmmm I am not sure if it is because of that then. I do know that my periods and hormones have somewhat changed after being pg, even after a year.
You could just excessively sweat , we do change a lot as we get older. Did you talk to the Dr about the sweating?

Oh yes. I have talked to four Dr.s Three are general practitioners, and the other is my oncologist that is doing all the checking. I have had all the tests done, as mentioned before. The only new "theory" that this last Dr. told me who is an osteopath was that it may be tied to the central nervousr system, and the fact that I have some lingering physical injuries causing structural damage from past car accidents, may have something to do with it. He said that if your structure is out of wack, it can cause all sorts of things that the central nervousr system regulates. I don't know if I really believe that, but we are doing physcial therapy to see if it makes a difference. I am currently ovulating as I am supposed to take my Nuvaring out this Sunday and my period usually starts on the following Wed/Thurs. It could be hormonal. I started the ring after the night sweats started, so I know it's not that.

The theory of the central nervous system being out of whack sounds pretty good to me. Stress 0100's us up BIG time. Imagine the constant rush of adrenalin that is being released at every panic thought or feeling we get, it is going to screw us up.

The good thing is you have done so many test's and nothing serious is going on, I know sweating sucks and you suffer but hopefully with the physical therapy things should start improving.
