It is very normal for one's blood pressure (BP) to be higher in the morning. This is due to numerous changes that our body's physiology undergoes as we transition from a sleeping to a waking state. These physiological changes include an increase in stress hormones such as cortisol. That is why so often anxiety symptoms are higher in the morning, and less severe in the evening hours when our body is winding-down for sleep.
By-the-way, your morning blood pressure of 130/88 is actually a good BP. Just like one's pulse, blood pressure also goes up and down frequently, throughout the day. There are many factors that control this including stress and physical activity.
So rest easy, and to rest even easier, I suggest you stop taking your blood pressure, as that is just probably adding to your anxiety.
The very best to you, Xynder!... Chuck
