Seriously freaked out!
« on: April 03, 2014, 02:23:34 AM »
So all of a sudden, some symptoms that I hadn't even been worried about might be late stage breast cancer - according to google.

I wasn't even searching this stuff, but came across a link to a forum of BC sufferers sharing symptom stories. I actually have a tender armpit at the moment, which feels like a sort of muscular sprain going down arm. Noticed it in the bath when shaving, but it is not on the skin, it seems connected to some more aches i've been getting in shoulder and arm recently. It hurts when i stretch my arm into the air.

Checked everything for lumps, can't find any.

But the forums are full of accounts of how breast cancer IS actually painful and can present in the arm/armpit.
Ive also not felt comfy lying on breast for yrs, but thought nothing of that, but the forum says that's cancer of both breasts.
I have suffered dizziness, sore back and neck lately and according to this forum, this means the cancer has spread.
The pain in my collar bone area that i'd thought was anxiety might be BC also!

I am terrified right now and hope someone can put my mind at ease?
Would I have lumps there if it was cancer? Not just a tender sore armpit and arm?
I have been super anxious lately and know there is tension in my body, but it surely can't get into an armpit and hurt to touch?
Oh and occasionally, like once every few months i get an itchy breast, apparently that means it's cancer too.

I know nothing of this type of cancer, and have never feared it before.
For the record, I am 40. I think I need to make a doctor's app. if only to nip this in the bud.

Do you have a cold?  Maybe an infection that can be treated with antibiotics?  Anxiety is causing muscle tension, in back and neck.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.  - AnxietyZone member Sixpack
