I have that feeling in my legs.   I have disc problems in my low back.
Compressed nerve can do that yes.

Are you on some meds? If not, you should talk to doc to take something for anxiety or maybe some antidepressant.

You don't have ALS 100%, but your anxiety is too high to be able to see that.

Try not to google. I won't google like before and if I do lately it's menopause related. I do have other health concerns and today I had a ct scan but I'm trying to not worry. First I was freaking out about taking the test and now the waiting. In the meantime I feel what I feel and trying not to worry. I know it can be easy to google and want peace of mind but most of the time that I've googled I get more anxious so I stopped. Try to meditate, picture yourself in a relaxing environment or your favorite vacation spot. I've been working on getting better at relaxing and not allowing negative thoughts to take over. I have also felt the physical symptoms you're feeling but if you're really concerned see your doctor and get reassurance. Take care and meditate or breathing exercises, that has helped me.

Good morning, the symptoms you describe are not remotely related to als. Als is a motor neuron desease what you describe is sensory. Als is a desease of muscle weakness not numbness or tingling or pain, although als patients do experience pain when their muscles waste and cramp. The onset of als is very subtle like not being able to open a water bottle or constantly tripping. Have you seen a neuro. Have you had an emg. You don't have als it doesn't present in this way.

Of course she doesn't have ALS.

The disease is in fact rare enough that she shouldn't even supposed to know what ALS is.

Anyway, in a few months when your condition doesn't get much worse, you'll see it wasn't ALS.

Let me tell you one thing about ALS, it does not cause pain.  The only time it does is when you muscles are starting to waste.  Which if it was your case you wouldn't be able to walk to move really.  Twitching always comes almost at the end of the illness, it's when your muscles are so atrophied which means that they don't move and the muscles are wasting away.  Don't worry about it I was there for many years and it just passed once I realized I can still do the things I do.  I hope this helps!!! hang in there you'll be alright.
