deep puncture from cat scratch
« on: April 02, 2014, 04:40:23 AM »
So my cat scratched my palm today and it was gushing out blood. I washed it with soap and water, put rubbing alcohol and pressed on it to stop the bleeding. I immediately went to the dr and she prescribed me antibiotic to take for 10 days and a tetannus shot since i dont remember when i had it. My palm is very swollen and painful. My cat only stays indoor and received all her shots 4 years ago. Im scared the infection might spread (knock on wood) i have gotten a lot of scratches and bites by my cat before but this is the first time a wound was gushing blood and causing swelling
