Anyone know how to get like an accurate level? Should I just try and take magnesium supplements, or maybe just a multivitamin in general? I guess a lot of magnesium doesn't really show in the blood.

Magnesium is one of the supplements that most people need. There are so many different kinds of magnesium and the absorption rate.
Then if you have too much magnesium you will be in the bathroom for a good long time.
Magnesium deficiency is prevalent in the US. IT does cause a lot of different issues.

My dr checked my magnesium level.  It was on the lower end.   I have read blood magnesium levels are not the best for accuracy.  Who knows.   If it is by another alternative test, likely my insurance doesn't pay for it and I cannot afford it out of pocket.

Anyway,   I have been taking Magnesium supplement for a few years, yet my level hasn't gone up but a few points.

My dr. has me on magnesium glycinate.  Highly absorbable form, without the laxative effect.   Best used for deficiencies.   He said it is good for my bones and my heart.
As with any supplement, best to have some gauge of your levels and work with a skilled person to supplement.  Anything out of balance of too much is not good.  So just downing high amount of magnesium isn't good.

My sister in law uses magnesium for leg cramps.  Says it works for her.

Nuts have a lot of magnesium.

Anxiety digestive issues can hinder absorption as well.   Trick bag

My husband loves nuts.  His magnesium level was good.
I have read that one Brazil Nut gives a day supply of selenium.

Ok, I need to eat more nuts.
