Does anyone have this ? Is it ms?
« on: April 01, 2014, 07:20:52 AM »
So when I wake up in the morning and it's still dark out ill open both of my eyes and in one eye everything looks darker then the other it's like I sort of lost vision in my one eye untill I turn the light on and then it goes away !???! So I don't know if it's my eyes adjusting or I have an neurological problem... Anyone have this??

So wierd because I have the EXACT same thing. I think. If I wake in the middle of the night and I open my eyes and like look around or something its like my one eye isnt even working but its open or like it has a feeling in it as if its not seeing as well as the other eye. Its very hard to explain, and its not ALL the time. But I have experienced it.

Oh wow, I have this exact same thing most mornings...Do you have dry eyes? I think one of my eyes is drier than the other and that's why it's blurrier/harder to see out of in the morning, or sometimes my eyelid sticks to it (sorry, TMI) If you had MS you'd probably have a lot of serious symptoms going on besides this.

It probably has something to do with the location of the window in your room.  (now that all depends on where you live actually.   HERE, the sky is never black, it's a muted gray during the night and if you look at the windows you can see "light" coming in)  Or of course when there's a full moon!  (light plays a big role in the photo receptors in the eye. )

It may be along the lines of when you look at something and have different "colors" with each eye (one eye will see the colors in a warmer hue than the other depending on the angle of the light source hitting each eye).

I've had this before and notice that usually whichever eye is seeing better is closer to the window.  I've also had it if I've been sleeping on one side of my face or like kinda on one eye, and then when I open them that eye sees things darker until I turn on the light.  I've never worried about it and it's definitely not MS.
