Help!
« on: March 31, 2014, 08:22:46 AM »
Every morning I wake up with tightness in my throat/lump feeling. It radiates to the side of my neck and the back feels stiff. The tightness is considerably worse when I lean my head back. I try to prod for lumps but haven't found any really, but I also stop because my throat is super sensitive to touch. I've had this since December but it was always a secondary symptom until now. Really scared it's thyroid cancer but don't want to see another doctor, I'm really bad at interpreting the self check thyroid test.

Only way you ever really find out is to see a doctor. You could leave it be. It could be nothing. With anxiety the old lump in the throat is a very common thing. Most people have had it as one point or another. That is how common it really is. I am assuming it is just this. But next visit to the doctor mention it. Just to be on the safe side.
