How often are you on sun beds? The only way to be sure is to visit your doctor. Skin cancer (melanoma) is commonly bigger than a pencil eraser, different colours, messy looking. But so are some moles so it's not a sure sign! And also just because you use sun beds doesn't mean your definitely going to get skin cancer. X

At least you've stopped now so that's a positive. From my extensive googling(which I wish I'd never done - if only you could unread things) it typically grows over a few weeks so it would be worth checking it in three weeks to see if it's changed. I'm obsessed with my moles and currently trying to check them less as it's an unhealthy obsession. How old are you? My doctor said new moles pop up right up into your thirties even forties! X

I'm 24 and moles and spots have been popping up a lot on me for the past couple of years. I'm sure a good few in the past couple of months! The thing is to keep a check on them every couple of months or so, anything untoward visit your gp x

That's fair enough there's no point in worrying. Are they normal for you? I've got loads of moles, all different shapes and sizes and a dermatologist said they're all completely fine. See your derm for reassurance as I'm not a qualified doctor and can't see your moles. Good luck and give us an update? X

I had a mole removed that was very Irregular, it looked like Africa. It had lots of discoloration and made my doctor very nervous. We took it off and it turned out to be nothing. My mother also had one removed from her forehead that turned out to be cancerous and that was 30 years ago. Just take a deep breath and hang in there.

I just had a mole removed last week, I'm 19 and it showed up out of nowhere and was black and I used the tanning beds in high school too and my doctor sent me straight to the dermatologist to get it removed. I haven't gotten my biopsy results back but the dermatologist said it is better to have it removed now so it doesn't eventually turn to cancer.

My dermatologist told me the vast majority of moles are nothing to be concerned about.
