Zoloft 50mg and increased libido?
« on: March 28, 2014, 05:36:33 PM »
I started Zoloft 50mg a few weeks ago and I've been doing pretty well on it and I have been happy with the results so far. However recently (NOT JOKING) my libido has gone through the roof lol. I've never felt this way before and idk if it could be an effect of the medication. I don't think it's necessarily bad but it is really weird. Any thoughts? I've heard of SSRIs being able to have negative impacts on libido and other sexual processes but this hasn't occurred, it's almost the opposite.

Paradoxical effects are possible with any med. You're the exception that proves the rule, however, I'd be cautious as it might only be temporary. If it's still the case in 3-4 months then you can break out the champagne.  :winking0008:

NOTE: I'm not a doctor, and particularly not yours, so there may be factors I'm unaware of. Therefore all advice is of a general nature and you should consult your doctor before following any of it, especially before changing med doses.

Yeah, that would be great if it lasts! Zoloft has always killed my libido.

Yeah I mean I'm on like week 3 so it definitely hasn't been a long term thing haha. Pretty wonky.
