Drinking has caused lack of trust
« on: March 28, 2014, 06:25:55 AM »
My drinking and lying/hiding it has created a complete collapse of trust in my relationship with my wife.  She has taken all my credit/debit cards and hides the keys when I am home.  This is a result of me leaving the house at odd times to buy liquor.  She also hides her purse and $$$.  has anyone else experienced this lack of trust with a spouse?  It is difficult for me to not have any control...Advice??

That is part of alcoholism.  We lose the trust of those closest to us.  We lie, hide and deceive everyone especially ourselves.  Drinking despite adverse consequences is a big red flag that it may be time to seek some help.  Sounds like you both need a good program of recovery.
