do these go together???
« on: March 23, 2014, 05:48:00 PM »
Ok....so I've had headaches for a month now. I've seen a neuro, Ent, gp, eye Dr etc....

I'm starting to learn to just live with these. But for a week now, my elbow has been twitching..at least 15-20 times a day. I'm not worried about als or anything ..im just trying to figure out if it would have anything to do with each other??  None if these drs will do a scan with headaches for over a month!!! They do seen like tension type but never go away.

does anyone else have or had headaches all day everyday and been ok??

I have head aches quite often but not constantly all day, I would say I get one everyday though
and they are accompanied with twitching i get them in my jaw and face most commonly.  I've talked
about this to my doctor and she says it's all normal, and I would say based off all the doctors you've
seen you're probably fine and it's all part of your anxiety?

If these headaches weren't so often....i wouldn't be so worried...i have TONS of tension in my neck and back and I'm wondering if that can give you tension type headaches? These drs haven't mentioned a brain scan at all. They are just tension/migraine related....but I think that's just a theory. I don't know what to do. I'm thinking of getting a 2nd opinion from another neurologist.

I have twitching elbow without headache. I don't think these two are related, twitching is almost certainly caused by anxiety.

Have you had an iron count taken?  My mom and my friend had headaches every single day for a LONG time, and they both were iron deficient.  Nothing at OTC iron pill didn't cure.

Yes and I had a cbc blood panel done a couple weeks ago. And I've gone to all of these specialists. Why not a brain scan?? Even a neurologist didn't think I need one. I notice when my neck and shoulders are tense the headache is worse. I don't know, its turning more into frustration then fear at this point.

Why not??  Because you don't need one.  You have anxiety.  Have you thought about treating you anxiety?

Yes, I'm working on getting into cbt and my psych had just prescribed me buspar along with my paxil to help. I know my anxiety is out of control.

I guess I was looking more for someone to relate with these everyday headaches for reassurance.

I've reassured you several times that I've had the same experience ;)  I'm still learning that seeking reassurance isn't fixing the underlying problem.  It's only short term.  Hopefully the buspar will really help.  Once you're able to take control, you'll be so grateful, and feel so much better.  It's like a giant black cloud being lifted.

No I do get that falcon. I think I'm just so frustrated and scared at this point that I don't know what to do. Headaches everyday for most of the day cannot be normal. I know your story falcon, i just hope mine is just as ok and I don't have to worry about headaches for the rest of my life everyday!

Once you stop worrying about them, it's no big deal.  Honestly.  I don't even take anything.  Most of the time I don't notice it unless I think about it.

Your anxiety makes them worse because they're always on your mind.
