Pain in groin
« on: March 22, 2014, 09:52:31 PM »
Hi all. Haven't posted here in a while, been relatively good lately. However the last two days I've been having stings in my groin that sometimes travel down my thigh to my knee. Right now I have pain in my left groin and it's worrying me. If I push down on where the pain is I feel a lymph nodes, on both sides. I'm only 25 but I've had swollen lymph nodes in my armpits and groin for almost 7 years now and I'm worried that symptoms of lymphoma are starting....again lol.
I've had this pain before but it has always gone away but comes back some weeks/months later.

Could it be I have lymph nodes pinching nerves? Or maybe there's something sinister going on?

You know the most obvious answer. A visit to a doctor. Have a test done. Find out for certain. Put your mind at ease. Things like that can come and go. I think in that respect that says it is not serious. If it was it would be always there. Only one way to find out for certain. Might be time for the doctor to be called up and arrange an appointment.

Cuchculan is right, you should do that. having said that, I sincerely apologize for what I'm about to say. But I seem to be unable to stop myself.

Have you tried not pulling on it so much?

I denounce myself for that crude joke, and will take my leave.

LOL. I don't think that's causing it :P

I've seen plenty of doctors about this, two years ago I had an ultrasound of my groin and armpits, no doctor was concerned.

This might sound stupid but are your pants or underwear too tight?  I'm a chick but a guy friend of mine was in agony with pain in his groin a while back...finally figured out that he had gained weight and his too-tight undies were putting pressure on a nerve.  (His was worse at night too after sitting down at work all day)  He got some bigger briefs and problem solved.
