« on: March 21, 2014, 03:04:08 PM »
I just had a BM and most of it was 'normal' coloured but there was pale/clay coloured patches  :fragend005: Freaking out. What could it be? Has anyone else had this? I have IBS

nothing to worry about. I have had pale stools before. It is what you eat that causes that. Also when you are stressed/anxious.

Thank you. I'm often worried about bowel cancer but I googled  ::) and apparently light coloured stools can be a sign of pancreatic cancer so I'm worried about that now. If it was cancer like.. the whole stool would be grey, right? Not just a bit of it?

Not necessarily .... I have had a full stool as pale (not grey though) ... just really light colored, however the next day it went back to a normal color.

If it's patchy, you're fine. If it's the whole stool that's pale and it changes back to normal within a few days, you're fine.

Relax.
