All floaters are NOT see through (some are thick balls of vitreous and it will appear black when out in bright light). Does this come and go? Does it float away? (and some floaters do NOT even float, they are stationary, some stay for years in the same spot) Whenever something like this happens and it's new, you should always get a dilated eye exam. Although I have SO many things constantly happen that are new I'd have to move a cot into my eye doctors office because I'd need an exam almost daily
I have a floater (stationary one) that is in my peripheral vision in my left eye. Color is distorted. If I'm driving and a school bus is passing me, I won't see a yellow school bus out of the corner of my eye, I'll see a PINK one! Blue looks green, white looks yellow, Things like that.
