Overdose on ibuprofen?!?
« on: March 15, 2014, 01:34:46 AM »
I've been taking ibuprofen and Tylenol the last 3 days because of my tooth. I've been favoring the ibuprofen today though! 600 mgs every 4-5 hours. Is this going to hurt me? Now I'm scared of stomach ulcers or bleeding

I guess you have been reading up on side effects. It really depends on how long you intend to take it for. I suppose if you will be taken it for a long time there are more chances of such side effects. But if you intend taken it for only short period of time you should be fine. For longer use maybe ask your doctor about taken something else. Percocet or something along those lines.

I was given a prescription for 800mg of ibuprofen recently for my tooth pain.  I took one but have been scared to take anymore.  My tooth is bothering me again today and I'm not sure what I'll do.

I think it's safe as long as you follow the dosing and how often to take it.  Maybe take it with food, too, to make it easier on your stomach.
