I don't have MS
« on: March 13, 2014, 04:21:42 AM »
 :laugh3:

I have walked around for 7 years thinking I had ms. All of the twitching, burning in my feet and hands, brain zaps, and dizziness had my petrified. I finally broke down in front of my family doctor who advised me to have an mri to put my mind at ease. He even arranged for me to have one at no cost. Because Australia has a great health system I was able to book in for the mri the next day, my results were ready 20hours later. And guess what..... All normal. I will admit that going to get the test done in a building with ms specialist doctors on every floor freaked me out as ever person who walked in I analysed to see if they had ms, after all I thought I might as well get used to what I would be like. It was so scary, and my heart was beating wildly, but the actual mri wasn't that bad, just lots of noises in the tunnel. So for those of you afraid to get the test done, just do it... Your peace of mind is worth more than the anxiousness you will feel getting it done

easier said than done for me, to go to the doctor and such. i am deathly afraid of what they are going to tell me. i know this will give me some easing of the mind and all -- but, still just cannot bring myself to do it.

congrats, though! people like me look up to people like you who are able to go and get things checked out, trust me.

Don't worry terriberryfuller it took me 6 years to pluck up the courage. I had an extremely supportive husband and mother to walk with me through it and a wonderful doctor who listens to me. Without them I could not have done it either, your support network makes a huge difference
