Occasional Leg Twitch Intesifying My MS Worry (Please Reply)
« on: March 12, 2014, 11:38:06 PM »
I don't feel anxious most of the day. When I sit down and watch TV, I still have an occasional leg twitch. The twitch is just one single twitch not a spasm that lasts multiple seconds. It seems to be coming from my thigh. Every time I have another twitch I get a rush of fear and then I calm myself down.

Will someone with some good solid knowledge of MS help me out here?

I've had that lump in the throat, headaches, some tingling after I read about tingling being an MS thing (can my mind cause the tingling or just the twitches?) I had perceived weakness while I was reading about ALS but now that I don't fear that anymore I don't have it. I've stressed about over 5 different diseases over the course of 40 days, haven't had a day where I wasn't worried about something. My MS worry started after I had a twitch in my tricep that lasted a few seconds at a time a few days after working out and ever since I googled MS/ALS new symptoms have been showing up.

Sorry for multiple threads on here but I'm just really struggling to find reassurance and just want more answers I guess.

Occasional twitches have NOTHING to do with MS

Even if it happens 7- 10 or so times in one day?

Do you define that as occasional? I certainly would from your description.

Stop googling.

I've stopped googling ever since I found this forum, glad I did. But what I know already from googling in the past is tormenting me.

So what you're saying is the twitches aren't cause for concern?

That's a good start! Try to forget what you have read too. Most of it is bull. I wouldn't be concerned if I were you, no.

My legs twitch all the time. I can see it through my clothes even. It is completely benign and nothing to worry about. Relax

I had twtching triceps for 15 days without stop. I have twitching in my leg which happens a lot more than yours. Also in some other random parts of body.

It's called  BFS and it's completely benign as it's caused by anxiety.
