Trying not to google this - females only - breast problem
« on: March 10, 2014, 06:11:32 PM »
So today before I got in the shower I noticed that the tip of my left nipple was darker - more purple in color - than my right. Started freaking out, but got in the shower anyway - did a self breast check (which i'm horrible at anyway - I can do them and not feel anything, and then a day later my doctor will feel lumps - one time she even sent me out for an ultrasound!) and couldn't feel any lumps. I got out of the shower and the nipples were the same in color. Then a few minutes later after getting dressed and brushing my teeth, the left was a little more purple again. I tried to go on about getting ready and by the time I was done getting ready I checked them again and they were the same color. What is going on? I am on my period right now - deff not pregnant. 26 years old, no family history of ANY type of cancer - just fibrocystic breasts, which I have also been diagnosed with. Trying not to freak out about cancer!

Could this be due to the blood flow to the area? Like when you press on your arm and let go, it's white for a minute, and then evens out?

It's possible you slept on it wrong or it might be hormonal (No chance you are pregnant?)

Akward question, but could it be a hicky? Sounds weird but it's been known to happen
