Biopsy Today
« on: March 10, 2014, 06:06:40 PM »
So my latest worry was melanoma.  I had a mole removed for biopsy today.  The bad news is it will be a couple of weeks before I get the results.  The good news is the dermatologist said she was certain it was just a mole.  In fact, it was just on the surface of my skin with no deep roots.  The biopsy site is pretty painful at the moment but I actually feel at peace about the whole deal.  Praise the Lord.

Sounds like the news will probably be good.  Melanoma is also very curable and the fact that it was not deep means that even if it is something, they got it all anyway.  :happy0151:

I had a funny looking mole that changed in size when I was around 6 years ago. Of course I freaked out!

I went straight to the derma and she told me that it was a mole that got intertwined with a wart. Well, what are the odds of that, right?

She just removed it on the spot and said nothing else. She didn't even recommend it for a biopsy. The rest was history.

I'm sure yours will turn out okay. Dermatologists are trained to detect suspicious looking lesions.

You guys are all very encouraging and I appreciate that.  It seems like I have nothing to worry about and I hope it stays that way for a while.
