Scared of Pancreatic cancer
« on: March 07, 2014, 12:59:05 PM »
I had a pale stool today, almost clay-lkie, some blood which is possibly Hemorrhoids or a anal fissure reoccurance given the burning sensation.  The Stool itself looks long and healthy and sinks slowly through.  I am worried this may be  Pancreatic cancer, especially since I have had back pain for 3-4 days when sleeping and getting up.  Should I be worried about this, almost scared....

Hi,

I have experienced pale stool from time to time and it's usually because of what I eat. If I eat lots of eggs in a day and lighter stuff (like pea soup) my stool will come out light. I always panic about it but then the next time i have a BM it's normal brown again. As long as it doesn't continue, you have nothing to worry about ) EVEN if it does continue, it's probably your diet and what you are eating.

Pancreatic cancer is almost unheard of in individuals under 60.

It doesn't sound like Pancreatic cancer at all. You think that you would have pain only when sleeping and getting up if it was PC? Not even going to mention how rare it is.

Cause of pale stool is most likely something you ate. Gallbladder issues can cause it, but you would also start turning yellow and have other symptoms.

I am sure your stool will be normal color in 2-3 days.

Update ;)
