« on: February 28, 2014, 12:23:37 PM »
(just an fyi I know I shouldnt be looking this stuff up cause I know it will just stress me out for no reason, its pathetic.)
But theres so many people saying OH you can have a period and be pregnant ok.. I thought you couldn't it's really confusing me and stressing me out for no reason, I have been literally been panicking over this for about 4-5 months i'm getting so tired of it.. :fragend005:
(I know i'm not pregnant btw) <--but I literally make my self sick just stressing about it, even though i'm not sexually active  :traurig001:
PLEASE do not say anything rude I KNOW this is pathetic and stupid I needed to get it off my chest, id like to stop worrying for once in my life.
i'm sorry for s dumb question literally I get soo worried over the littlest things. (dont judge me please.)

Hi Mikayla...  Now I know that you said "Girls Only", and yes, I am a man, but I am a registered nurse, and have worked in high risk OB as well as neonatal ICU.

Now, to begin with, there are no dumb questions, so you give yourself a big pat on the back for asking this question. :sign0169:

The answer to your question is no, a woman does not continue having periods when she is pregnant.  Some women do have vaginal bleeding during pregnancy.  Some even report intermittent bleeding that seems like a regular period to them.  But vaginal bleeding during pregnancy is not the same thing as menstruation.

I hope that this eases your mind.

The very best to you, Mikayla!...  Chuck :grinning-smiley-003:
