« on: February 18, 2014, 06:56:35 PM »
Hi everyone,

I'm Aly and I'm 19. I've suffered with phobic anxiey disorder and depression since 2006, I also have emetephobia. I did a lot of CBT therapy and I am on 200mgs of sertraline, I was doing really well for the last 3 years, I went to college and got a nationsl diploma in design and managed to get a job. Before Christmas my anxiety started tl get really bad again, I started to have panic attacks daioy and I ended up falling down the stairs at work and breaking my wrist due to a panic attack. Ive recently got worse and sm finding it hard tomget out of bed, I've quit my job because I couldnt handle going in, ive had to apply for sick pay benefits to help me buy food ect, and I feel like such a joke and a failure. Ive been reffered to do therapy again, my first appt is on the 25th, so im hoping it helps :(
im really struggling to get out of my house and im so glad I found this forum, im sorry everyone has to suffer from this but im glad its not just me in this position

Welcome to the board Amy,

You're not a failure at all. At your age to be that successfull with schooling, that's incredible. I'm currently in school and I'm 22, I've been diagnosed with Social Anxiety so school is pretty tough for me right now, I'm also on 50mg sertraline (just started, next psych appointment in two days) and 's kicing my butt. I'm sorry to hear your anxiety has come back but you sound like a strong individual in means of getting a grip on it. I want you to know that you're not alone, It's hard to talk to people and it gets easy to build up.... but just know that people here in this board DO listen, and we will provide you support.

It's amazing and sad how anxiety snowball effects into more and more problems... that we shouldn't be worrying about normally. Never set limits on yourself, you sound like a great person. I hope to hear from you.

How is your medication going for you? I can't wait to start my therapy on the 27th.

Keep us posted and post around.

Welcome to AnxietyZone. (:

Welcome to the forum. Good to have you as a member. Here you are with like minded people. People who understand. As we all suffer from something or other. So feel free to ask any questions. Our members are always willing to help others out. Good chatroom too. 3 posts to enter the room.

Find the correct section of the forum that suits your condition and create a new topic on it. This is just a welcome section. Never really get the same amount of help in this section as you would on the other sections of the forums. So whatever one suits the questions you are asking. Get much better answers.
All users of the chatroom must be 18 years old or over. The room is off limits to anybody under the age of 18.
