Can this be anxiety symptoms?
« on: February 18, 2014, 01:00:53 AM »
So I know about a lot of anxiety symptoms and how anything can be put down to anxiety. But I have been getting really strange sensations for the past day or two. It is a sudden coldness in both of my feet - not in the same places either. On my left foot, it doesn't come on the foot itself but around the back from above my ankle to the tendon. On the other foot, it is right beneath the ankle. Not only that, but across near my toes, I get a sudden burning sensation as well.

It is really strange.

I am convinced they are anxiety symptoms but it would be interesting to hear what you guys think?

I have the same thing from time to time, actually had it tonight to be honest. My feet will feel cold, sometimes numb as well, sometimes just cold. Then all at once they'll go warm. It's hard to explain, but their sensitivity will vary, not quite numb, but not quite 'normal'. Hope that makes sense. At the same time I'll be having other anxiety symptoms, don't think I've ever had issues with my feet by themselves. - Don't take that as an indication as something biologically wrong causing problems with your feet, anxiety has a closet full of disguises and presents itself in varied ways for each of us.

I have something similar, especially in the last month.

I started getting hot flashes when emotionally upset and anxious. After the hot flashes, my feet and calves will get very cold. I feel like I have ice instead of blood running through them. Like I have menthol on my skin. Then they will get warm and sweaty and uncomfortable.

I have something similar on my hands/forearms but much less intense.

Creepy. But after checking with doctors and stuff, yes it's probably anxiety.
