How old are you?

Anyway, it doesn't sound at all like lung cancer but a postnasal drip/virus. Week and a half is not enough for a cough to go away. Wait week and a half mofe and then go to doctor if it doesn't improve.

Coughs last an average of 18 days per medical studies. They can definitely last longer without it being something serious. The coughing in the morning is most likely due to everything settling at night then as you move and are upright everything drains.

I had a cough for 2 months.  It didn't start with a cold, it never turned into anything, I was never sick, but it progressively got worse until finally after 2 months I went to a doctor.  It wasn't anything!  Maybe allergies?  But it can happen and it's nothing
