Gad/heart worriers
« on: February 12, 2014, 08:21:38 PM »
So I pretty much experience anxiety pretty regularly ... Mostly like "body noise" but my main focus
Is always my heart... Ever since my first panic attack  I was convinced something was wrong with my heart.. That was 4 years ago. In really trying to accept my anxiety for what it is anxiety and nothing more... Some days I have heart palpitations (I think) it feels to me like butterfly wings flapping in my chest is the best way to describe it... Is that normal?! How they feel? Also I been getting a tingling feeling in my upper chest,,., can this all be anxiety?

You don't have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.

It is Definently anxiety. And there are a lot of health worries around here. I would look in  the hypochondria  section. Any ways it's completely normal with anxiety to feel those flutters. Me personally I get them all the time and I've had it since I was 11 and I'm 23 :)

I get the same feelings a lot too. They're hard to ignore, and feel far more serious than just anxiety, but thats what it is. Its even harder to ignore when other symptoms come on, such as numbness and tingling. Anxiety loves to change its game and keep us guessing.

It's like I'll have a good few days and then my
Mind has to through something out there just to get
Me going again... I'm 30 and have had anxiety since I was 26... I feel awful
For people who start this awful disorder on their teens,
Atleast I got to enjoy those! Thanks for the replies! Just
Gonna have to keep moving forward even if I take a few steps back!
