But the problem can be, for example, 2 names were suggested by a certain member already. Both of the people suggested never said they wanted to be Mods. The whole idea is that those interested state they are interested. Not that others are interested in them as Mods and they, themselves, have no idea about the thread or are not even interested. That is just why I think only those interested should put their names forward first. Give it a few days and then all the roomies can have their say. Think so far we have 3 actual nominations who have not come forward and expressed any interest in the role. In the past people have been talked into doing the job. Some lasted the pace. Others lasted under a week. Unless they say they are interested we should not put their names forward. That is unfair on them.
I doubt GreyGoose is going to draw these names from a hat blindfolded. I think people are expressing their opinion, personally or for others,
How could one expect a wide open thread and people not to voice their opinion. I wouldn't get too moved by it.
