If you were to ask a doctor, they would tell you that after a week of it still twitching, yuo should probably see someone about it. However the most common causes of eyelid twitching are things like stress and anxiety.  Ive had people tell me that eyedrops helped a bit.

Before I started on meds for my anxiety I had eye twitches all the time, sometimes lasting for a month or more.  They are annoying but not harmful.  Have you tried yoga or meditation or deep breathing?  Those can sometimes help you to relax and lessen/end the twitch.  My favorite "cure" is a massage, very relaxing and soothing for me.  Hang in there!

Hi Nancy...

I had a problem with an eye twitch many years ago.  When I was in nursing school, I had a teacher for one semester, that took a dislike to me.  The eye twitch started at the beginning of the semester with her, and ended immediately when the class was over.  Pretty obviously stress induced in my case.

Can you pinpoint a stressful situation(s) that occurred just before the twitching began?

I agree that these symptoms are caused by anxiety/stress.  Anything that you can do to relax yourself should help, and once the stressful situation has resolved itself, that should help too.

As always, the very best to you!...  Chuck :grinning-smiley-003:

Thanks all, i'm sleeping okay!!! And yea I do have some caffeine intake, that could be a lot of the cause. I plan to see a eye doctor soon just to have it checked out and plus I need my vision checked anyway!!!
