Dizziness, head pressure lead to panic attack...
« on: February 08, 2014, 10:21:27 PM »
Hello today I've been experiencing a dizzy feeling only when walking not like the room is spinning or neither am I unbalanced but I guess you could say I have a "swimming" feeling in my head. It's accompanied by slight head pressure which I've had for a week. I go to a chiropractor couple times a week and had an x ray last week and said I had something called cervical kyphosis where the spine in my neck doesn't curve right. Could that cause a dizziness feeling or should I go to my GP on Monday to get checked out? I had probably my worst anxiety attack to date today because of it as I had trouble breathing, swallowing, and raised heart rate.

When I started having panic attacks, I also began to experience dizziness and ringing in my ears almost daily. Once I got so dizzy I nearly passed out at work. Came on here and, lo and behold, I found many other people who struggled with dizziness. I mentioned it to my doctor too, and she wast worried at all. Said it was pretty common with anxiety (even to the point of passing out!).

Sounds like anxiety, it has a nasty tendency to exaggerate the symptoms you may be having from a relatively minor problem. Head pressure and dizziness are probably the two most common symptoms of anxiety. But if it keeps up, don't hesitate to get further medical assistance if you feel it's needed.

thank you. very relieving that these are two of the most common symptoms of anxiety. been feeling a bit better since I joined this site and realized everyone experiences similar issues and fears now I know there is truly nothing wrong with me as many many people experience this feeling every day. Also a weird way of looking at my anxiety attack but after my big attack yesterday I've been feeling a lot better maybe the fact that I realized I'm perfectly healthy and that was all caused by anxiety made me better.
