Sinking feeling
« on: February 05, 2014, 07:33:38 AM »
We have a new puppy. She wakes me at 4 a.m. to go potty.  I jump out of bed so she won't wake everyone else and pick her up out of her box and rush outside. Once I sit her down, I get a sinking feeling for just a few seconds.  I had an EKG in Dec. before a colonoscopy and the doc said it was as good as a woman's half my age.

I think it's just the sudden change in blood pressure from waking to sleeping and jumping up so fast. I can't afford to go to the doctor for the 3rd time this week over nothing......  Anyone else have this?

I sometimes have to get up in the middle of the night to either go to the bathroom or let our old dog out.
Sometimes when I get up, I feel ill or just weird; can't explain it.

Yep,  it's hard to explain but it's like a slight drain.....   I'm thinking it's just my blood pressure going from the low during sleep and sudden change from getting up and rushing too quickly.  I've been getting up with her for a month but she was waking earlier and it wasn't such an 'emergency' for her. Now she sleeps longer and barks needing to go out NOW, to poop, so I am not stroking her for a few minutes and rising slowly PLUS she's tripled her weight in a month!

That's a normal reaction from jumping up too quickly from a sleep.  Before menopause (when I used to sleep normally) that would happen to me all the time, I'd have to sit up in bed for about 20 minutes before getting up for the day)  NOW I can jump up anytime and be ready for the day, wide awake and bushy tailed   >:(.  So consider yourself lucky actually...
