I've always had this problem before but this thing only got me really freaked out just now. :(

I usually feel bloated and burp a lot when I eat too fast and overeat or do not eat at the right time. They usually go away when I eat something like a crackers, bread, etc.

Last year, I rushed to the ER and was only diagnosed with indigestion. I had acid problems two years ago too and a GI specialist didn't really seem to be concerned about it and only put me under omeprazole and everything went fine afterwards.

However, it seems that the acidity has returned since last week when I started to eat lots of junk and overate.

My tummy doesn't hurt, but I notice that when I eat too fast or drink water after a meal, I feel so full and burp burp burp a looooot. I don't have any heart burn, acid on my throat, etc.

The burping usually subsides when I eat something light during the burping episodes.

I just came from my GP right now and he felt my tummy. He said everything was fine except that my tummy sounds noisy which indicates that it could be irritated by acidity. He does not seem concerned about it and gave me 1 week worth of omperazole.

I am really scared that the meds won't work this time and I can't help think that it's the big C. :(

I'm only 23 years old and I feel that I will get the big C of the stomach, colon, etc. :(

Nothing saying it is the big C at all. Apart from your own mind. Let the doctor do his job. They feel and press the stomach area to listen for gurgling sounds. Peptic ulcers are one thing that go with anxiety and can be easily treated. They make a lot of noise in the stomach and I would class them as harmless. Have had one or two before. Simple bit of medication can clear them up. I am no doctor. So don't take my word on the peptic ulcer suggestion. Just the way the doctor was pressing your stomach it sounds common enough that he might have been checking for such things. Because they do make noise. Can be like world war III inside your stomach at times. More a case of watching what you eat. Eat slowly. Give your food time to digest. If it is peptic it is not that serious. Seriously they are harmless. Just leave the medical stuff to your doctor. I am sure he will treat you right.

Thanks for the reply Chuchulan,

I am really trying had to trust my doctors. I think I do, but it's just that I fear the meds won't work anymore for me. I do feel a bit better tonight after eating dinner and pampering myself with a movie. I honestly felt better too when the doctor told me that everything else seemed fine. He said I just have to avoid certain food for now (spicy, oily, etc) to let my tummy recover from the irritation.

I hope I can just get my act together this time.

I also get that feeling that the meds won't work. And everytime I do, it works!

I'm experiencing sort of the same thing as well. Before I go back to the doctors, let me know how you're doing!
