Floating/Tilting sensations

I wake up very off balanced. It feels like I'm floating at times or like I'm tilting to either side and pushed forward. Its such a horrible feeling, Id much rather have any other symptoms than this. Lying down I don't feel it, its not till I'm sitting at the edge of my bed then I really feel it when standing and starting to walk around. Almost feels like my body is weightless and I have no control over it. Anybody feel this way?

Hi nate,

I have had the feeling you are describing many times.  I describe it almost as feeling like I am walking on a boat.  I have found that a lot of mine is postural.  When I am tense or anxious or expecting to be so, I tend to hold everything tighter and almost raise myself up when I walk.  I think the shift in my center of gravity causes it.  I find that if I focus on relaxing and bringing my shoulders and center of gravity down it greatly helps the sensation.  I hope this helps you.  I know it is a scary feeling and causes much anxiety for many of us that get the feeling.
