I'm not worried... lymph nodes
« on: February 04, 2014, 07:40:49 PM »
I'm really not worried about this but I was taking a shower and noticed my 2 lymph nodes on my right side were reaaaaally swollen. I think it is because the day before I was pressing into there. Can touching nodes make them swell?

I went to to doc, he ordered blood tests. Got those done today. The nodes literally swelled up overnight. and if they didn't, I didn't notice them previously.
I guess we will see what the blood work says!!

I will endure any pain, as long as it has meaning.

My doctor explained it to me that there can be any sort of inflammation going on in your body and you have no idea what it is and it can cause the nodes to get a bit bigger. I had this happen to me two weeks ago. I went to the doctor she was not concerned and I did some blood tests last week and they came back yesterday and the doctor states that everything is within a good range.
They can swell because you are poking around in a general area as well.

I can relate to this. I started feeling around for my groin lymph nodes randomly one day and couldn't feel too much. But for some reason I kept poking and prodding continuously to try to feel for any and now they are swollen. I can feel a lot of them but I'm hoping it's from how much I have aggravated them. I also had blood work done that all came back normal. I'm hoping that's a good sign..

I am one of the kings of lymph node scares!

I have a large lymph node behind my right ear and it has been there since I can remember. I went to an ENT specialist and he told me that it was nothing to be afraid about.

Blood tests (CBC) can determine a lot when it comes to your general health. I believe yours will turn out fine!

I try to tell myself that I need to relax because my CBC was all normal, but of course google freaked me out when I read that blood tests can sometimes be normal with lymphoma. I have a hard time believing that nothing would be off in my blood work if lymphoma were present...
