heart question
« on: February 04, 2014, 06:04:56 PM »
Does anyones heart rate speed up very fast when standing up after waking up from a deep sleep ? Is this normal? It eventually slows down after 5 minutes after standing.

I get it mostly if I try napping. I don't think I go into a deep sleep when I nap, so it's easy to wake me. My anxiety causes me to startle easily.

Mine does as well sometimes.  Try not to just jump out of bed the second you wake up. Take a moment and lay there and stretch for a second, the sit up for a couple of seconds before getting up.  It doesn't take long but will help greatly.

I just posted asking about a sinking feeling when being startled awake and getting up quickly.  I think our blood pressure drops while we're sleeping and if we get up too quickly, the blood rushes to our legs and feet and causes a quick rise in blood pressure/ heart beat.
