Sore In Mouth
« on: February 04, 2014, 11:45:10 AM »
The other day I got a sore on the roof of my mouth which has been bugging the ***** out of me. I can't see it so I can't tell how bad it is but I brushed the sore area with a toothbrush and saw blood on the toothbrush so now I'm freaked out. I can't think of what would cause a sore on the roof of my mouth unless it was a burn or something, but even then I would expect my tongue to burn not the roof of my mouth. Also if I do decide to go see a doctor for this I don't know what kind of doctor to see. And what would they be able to do anyways. I mean they can't exactly prescribe a topical ointment since the sore is inside my mouth, so I assume that I would just have to wait it out anyways.

A dentist would probably be best, but a Dr. could probably tell you too.

I've burned the roof of my mouth and nothing else was affected, so it could be that.  When you put your tongue on it does it feel sort of raw? In a few days your skin should peel off there if it's a burn.

I guess I will go see a dentist about it if it doesn't go away. I keep wanting to mess with it using my tongue which I'm sure is not helpful.

Ok I managed to get a mirror and look at it and it's all red and vainey which does not make me feel better.
