TMJ and hearing
« on: February 02, 2014, 06:45:15 PM »
Does your TMJ affect your hearing? Some days it's worse than others. If I move my jaw a certain way (eI; laughing/smiling) the hearing in my right ear goes completely out, and also sensitive to loud noises. It really scares me and I'm hoping for some reassurance.

I have been having severe TMJ issues for over a year now.
I have not experienced hearing related issues but I have a few books and I have read that it is not outside the realm of possibilities.
I have experienced a lot of other issues with this disorder but I do not think hearing.

See a doctor or a dentist who is versed in TMJ. That is what I did. Not everyone experiences the same thing.
Please see your doctor or a dentist.
