Pain in the top of foot. Help
« on: January 30, 2014, 07:57:15 AM »
So I have been dealing with another issue that isn't as intense as my colon cancer fears but lets just say its hasn't exactly helped my HA either. For about a year now I have had this weird foot pain in my left foot. What makes it really weird is its located at the top of my foot from the middle all the way to the big toe and the 2 after. It's a burning, aching and almost shocking feeling when I touch it. It's down right pain when I wear my tall boots with a 2-3 in heal or wedge. This all started last winter when I bought these adorable boots. Symptoms seem to MUCH improve during the summer months when I'm out of boots and in flip flops. I'm scared because when looking online symptoms of foot pain in the top of the foot can be serious like nerve damage, stress fracture, or arthritis. I am only 26 and my foot feels 86. I am doing a half marathon April 19 and in so nervous I won't be able too because of my foot pain. I am calling a foot specialist this morning to make an appointment.
What could this be?
Also it really hurts in the mornings to flex my toes upwards. It's like a shocking sensation while flexing.

A podiatrist will, no doubt, reassure you and you will, no doubt, make better choices about your shoes.

I notice what women will squeeze their feet into and I wonder. Our feet are so important and yet are put at risk with some of these shoe fashions. Maybe you'll learn some nice foot exercises you can share. Hoping all goes well for you.
