Hit me like a ton of bricks!
« on: January 29, 2014, 11:19:30 AM »
I was having a pretty good morning.... slept well after I got to sleep last night. Sat down, had something to eat and BAM.... ton of bricks!

I'm not even sure what I am anxious about. I'm wondering if it is the sweet potato that caused it...

Just because I understand an acknowledge what I am worrying about is silly, doesn't mean I'm able to stop worrying about it.

Hi Kissa...

I am so sorry about your "BAM" this morning.  That has happened to me so many times.  I call it "the light switch effect", as it comes on as quickly as flipping a light switch.  Sometimes I am aware of a trigger that causes it, and the trigger is usually always really minor, but often times I have no idea what causes it.  It is my understanding that not being aware of a trigger, is often the case.

Anyway, you are not alone with your "BAMS".

The best thing that you can do is to accept it, meaning accept your anxiety symptoms, and do your best to go right on with your day.

As always, the very best to you, Kissa!...  Chuck

Thanks Chuck! I was thinking about stating a food diary and seeing how things trigger me. I am already aware of caffeine which I have been avoiding as much as possible for the past several months. I've also noticed before that after eating sometimes I felt different but never really paid much attention to it.

It was just very strange this am.

Sometimes panic attacks comes out of the blue. It comes when you least expect it. When it do comes, it can overwhelm you in so many ways. I hope that they find a cure to this. It will make a lot of people live better.
