Anus & rectum cancer
« on: January 29, 2014, 05:12:42 AM »
I no for a fact I have piles inside & out. But I'm experiencing a ache in my anus & rectum. It's a dull ache and seems more obvious when I need a poo or to pass wind. I'm freaking out its actually anal cancer or something!! I started the suppositories last night! I have been constipated in the last wk. but why do I have this aching 😖😖😖😖 I'm so scared as I no 2 woman in my city that died of anus cancer! It's quite nippy & burny after a bowel movement too...

Hey you answered your own fears so listen to them :) I suffer from piles too mainly due to pregnancies and I freaked out when I first noticed thinking it might be cancer but it is 'just' piles. I think piles aren't taken too seriously some people find them almost comical these are usually people who haven't suffered mind. But they can be very painful! Constipation is the main cause for them and pushing makes them worse. Try eat more fibre I recommend drinking orange juice or eating them, they really help and makes going so much more comfortable. The ache can happen just think you have this excess skin blocking anything escaping which can cause irratation. I use a cream called anusol which gives instant relief and sorry Tmi mine are external and fairly large so sitting down hurts at times. Relax you haven't got cancer piles are more common than what you think. Take care

The pain is most likely caused by the hemmoroids (piles) but it could also be anal fissure. I have had both.  Anal fissure is just a tiny tear in your anus that causes a lot of pain. I was in pain constantly, day and night. My usual over the counter suppositories for piles weren't helping. I also convinced myself Ive cancer. I went to the specialist who looked more closely (I know!) and gave me different suppositories.
If your pain continues, you should go to the doctor and get checked out and get prescription strength suppositories. Good luck!

I would call your physician and explain all of your symptoms and concerns, as this will
help alleviate your worry.

If the pain starts during/after BM and lingers, it's probably a fissure vs. hemorrhoid.

hemhorroids could cause a constant ache (I have them) - they can be so large it would hurt to sit, you could lay in bed and just feel ache, ache, ache...   small ones that aren't that bad would be itchy.  They could bleed, "explode" cause mucus.  They are a whole lot of fun ::)
