Does anyone know or take Kavinace....?
« on: January 25, 2014, 01:42:25 PM »
:question:three powerful ingredients that may alleviate the symptoms of irritability, stress, trouble sleeping, and anxiety: the result is Kavinace. This supplement may be effective due to Phenibut (4-amino-3-phenylbutyric acid), a GABA derivative. Phenibut can reduce phenylethylamine activity. Phenylethylamine is an excitatory neurotransmitter, so inhibiting it can have calming effects. Those with aggressive tendencies may benefit from Kavinace’s calming abilities, and it may also support heart health.

The Importance of GABA
Kavinace is designed to increase GABA activity in the brain. GABA (or gamma- aminobutyric acid) is an “inhibitory neurotransmitter,” meaning that it inhibits excitatory transmitters in the brain. GABA can be found naturally, but those who are deficient may experience bad moods. Phenibut works by binding to GABA receptors and may elevate the brain’s levels of GABA.

How Taurine Can Help
Each capsule of Kavinace also contains taurine, an amino acid that works to regulate water and mineral levels in the blood. Many researchers also believe that taurine has antioxidant capabilities, meaning that it protects the brain from free radical damage. Taurine is a natural substance that can be found in animal meat, fish and milk products. It’s often added to energy drinks because it may promote improved athletic performance. Studies have also shown that taurine may be able to stimulate GABA activity by encouraging synthesis and protecting the brain from GABA breakdown. Taurine and Phenibut in its Kavinace capsules because the two components work together to assist benzodiazepine in binding to GABA receptors.

The Benefits of B6
In addition to taurine and Phenibut, NeuroScience added one more powerful component to this formula in order to boost GABA levels: 5 milligrams of vitamin B6 (pyrodixine), which is more than double the RDA of the vitamin. B6 assists in GABA synthesization, among its other potential benefits.
Kavinace supports neurotransmitters in order to calm the mind and body.

So has anyone ever used these?
And would it be a bad combo if 8 used it?........  I'm on Sertraline 50mg for 20 days now and take Clonazepam 0.5mg to help ease me through the starting up phase of the Sertraline.

NOTE: I'm not a doctor, and particularly not yours, so there may be factors I'm unaware of. Therefore all advice is of a general nature and you should consult your doctor before following any of it, especially before changing med doses.
