Vision problem? Help please!
« on: January 25, 2014, 06:45:12 AM »
Help.. I am experiencing a weird small spot
in the center of my vision. Feeling soo anxious right now
Feeling shaky and sweaty hands. It's been on my vision field
For a few weeks now. I tried ignoring it but it's still here.
I don't notice it most of the time. It's only on my left eye and not moving.
I only notice it when I squint. Or blink. What is this? Please
Any answer will help thanks

Hi,

I don't think any of us would risk to diagnose what you need a professional to tell you . . . make an appointment with an eye specialist who will give you a professional diagnosis so you will know what is going on . . . if you only notice it when you squint or blink, then a professional needs her/his equipment to check it out . . . sometimes, and this happens to me, my anxiety encourages me to see inconsequential events as potentially major issues . . . .yep, it is anxiety provoking to notice this type of thing, but until you get it checked out, you are simply allowing anxiety to increase and increase and increase . . . after several weeks, I think it is time for you to get to a professional and put your mind at ease . . . . please let us know how you are doing and if we can support you, please let us know . . .we are really good at being a welcoming community . . . .take care, kc

I have been to a doctor before and told me my vision changes are causes of axiety and he didn't paid much attention to it. I wish I could treat my anxiety that way too. I just can't seem to ignore my anxiety. I suffered GAD a few months before (march-april) and it has been on and off. Lately I feel my GAD attacking gain. That's why I've been like this again.
I'm sorry I can't properly explain what exactly I am feeling because I am
Asian.. But I am 1/4 american lols
And Im also sorry because my posts are always like this. It's just that no one here in our country seems to understand me..

I get vision issues because of my anxiety all the time.
It usually gets triggered by stress or sometimes just the lighting where I am at the time will cause it to get worse.
Here's a list of a few of the vision issues that I have had because of Anxiety:
-Blurry vision
-Seeing spots
-Seeing flashes
-Seeing spots of fog/frost
-Seeing this flashy dot that grows slowly over a few hours
-Going completely blind! (That was scary)
And I've had other eye problems, too....

Anxiety can cause all kinds of issues....
Plus, you've already gone to the doctor so don't worry  :happy0151:
You are okay

And you explained things perfectly...no need to apologize or explain yourself   :grinning-smiley-003:

Where are you from?

Wow that made me feel better. Yes I experience those too. I experience spots in vision before but they only last a few days but this time it has been like 3 weeks I think so I got scared and worried. Thank you for your reply it has made me feel a bit better.. I am from the Philippines. GAD is attacking again because of my job.. I've been weak when it comes to stress. How do you guys manage stress? I feel like going crazy when I am too stressed out!

That is exactly how I get with stress, too.
I can't seem to handle it very well  :(
I am super sensitive to it, too.
I can't think, I can't focus, and I get to where I feel as if I'm going to literally just go crazy....
I can't handle when people yell at me, at all, or just get upset with me even.
I know exactly where you're coming from
I pray a lot and I try to sip on calming herbal teas, do relaxation techniques, read, listen to music, think of positive and happy things, etc.
Anything to distract my thoughts and emotions  :winking0008:

And you're from the Philippines? That's awesome!
I have a few friends over there  :happy0151:
I've never met them but we talk to each other like once every 1-2 weeks.
My congregation sends money every few months to support a good number of preachers over there.
They are amazing people
