Is this all normal? (Girls only please)
« on: January 24, 2014, 03:04:29 PM »
I know I keep asking stupid questions but around the middle of November last year I gained weight like dramatically it freaked me out and of course I had to search things, I was always skinny had a flat stomach now I have a pudge on top and a pouch under my belly button is this apart of puberty I'm 15. I had my period over 4 and a half years ago and I'm having boob problems (they hurt sometimes really bad but not to the touch) is this all normal?  :traurig001: :fragend005:

I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure what it is, but I do know that during puberty your boobs can hurt as they're developing.  Sometimes they can hurt really badly, too!  That is normal.  There could be many reasons for the weight gain...diet, exercise, body change during puberty, etc.

Totally normal.  :happy0151:

Hormone fluctuations are what cause our boobs to get tender, painful, and swollen during PMS, and just think about how crazy your hormones are going during puberty!

As far as the weight gain goes, I had the same thing happen to me at about your age. Part of it is hormonal and part of it is because as we get older, many of us have our metabolisms slow down. I had always been very, very thin before puberty, and as I got older, right around your age, I developed the pudge too because my metabolism wasn't what it used to be once I hit puberty.
