Biofeedback for GAD?
« on: January 21, 2014, 11:20:09 AM »
My doctor referred me to an alternative treatment center for biofeedback sessions. I've had a lot of tension headaches and am on Zoloft for GAD. I've looked into biofeedback and feel like it may be beneficial, but my insurance doesn't cover it and I'd have to take time off work to go. So I'm wondering whether it's worth it to go at this point. I've been practicing mindfulness meditation, yoga, muscle relaxation, guided visualization and deep breathing techniques at home. I'm wondering if biofeedback will really achieve anything different? Does anyone have any advice or recommendations?

Hi Quetzal...

I noticed that you didn't get a response to your question on biofeedback for the treatment of GAD.

My suggestion is that you post your question over on the "Medications and Therapy" section of the forum.  I think you stand a better chance of getting a response there.

The very best to you, Quetzal!...  Chuck
